EDUCATION

Dr. Ioanna Papazachariou graduated from the Rhein-Westfaellische Technische Hochschule Aachen, in 1991. She received her Surgical Residency in Bad Trissil Oncological Centre of Medical School of Ludwig Maximillian Universität and Technische Hochschule, Munich, Germany (1992-1993), in the Surgical Department of Nicosia General Hospital (1993-1996) and in the Surgical Department of Hippokration General Hospital of Athens at National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (1996-1998), while earning her Doctorate Diploma in 2007 in the fields of Gastrointestinal Surgery. She got a full scholarship for training in modern methods of diagnosis and therapy of Breast Cancer at the specialized Centre of Breast at Hippokration General Hospital of Athens, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (2009) and a scholarship for Training in the Department of Surgery, University of California, San Diego, USA, in the section of Colorectal Surgery (rectal cancer surgery, inflammatory bowel disease, specifically minimal invasive approaches using robotics and laparoscopic surgery for colorectal cancer and for ileoanal j-pouch surgery, 2012–2013).
